BACK 9 MASTERMIND STORY
Marty McDonald started Back Nine in 2014 for two reasons. First, to be able to meet up and collaborate with his business peers, affiliates and industry leaders more regularly (because how often do we really make time for that in our businesses)…and, secondly, to create a one-of-a-kind event that combined the best of the best of other respected masterminds he was a part of: world-class content, high-caliber networking and a whole lotta fun, of course. All in an intimate, supportive and family-like environment.
In 2015, after receiving such a positive response after the first two Back Nine events, he decided to join forces with his long-time friend and business partner,Rich DeMatteo, who had experience in curating and creating collaborative, immersive and fun event experiences. Together, these two powerhouse marketers and entrepreneurs lead the Back Nine crew.

Serial entrepreneur, expert marketer, and founder of Mind Movies — Glen started his first business at the age of 17. Since then, he has started, scaled and sold multiple businesses across a variety of industries.
In 2007 he founded Mind Movies, a personal growth company that combines traditional personal growth strategies with technology. Within the first three years, he grew the company from zero to over $6 million in revenue and to date has generated in excess of $60 Million online.
While continuing to be CEO the driving force behind the marketing strategies at Mind Movies, Glen also created and founded JV Hacking, a book, course and software that specialize in teaching all things affiliate marketing, including how to attract affiliates, motivate affiliates, the psychology behind doing so, plus processes and systems to manage affiliates specifically around product launches.

Alex is a copywriter, marketing strategist and the founder of The Copy Posse. Alex got her start in the online marketing world at Mindvalley, where she held the title of Creative Director and Event Director for A-Fest (Maui 2011), one of the top personal growth events in the world today.
She started her consulting business in 2011 and over the past decade, has helped launch several successful brands and partnered with many of the hottest transformational authors and businesses on the planet, writing high-converting sales copy, scaling multi-million dollar brands, and crafting iconic promotional campaigns.
In 2019, Alex founded The Copy Posse, a team of writers with a passion for crafting compelling copy that combines the power of authentic brand storytelling with proven marketing principles. By 2020, her fast-growing global community of copywriters and entrepreneurs has reached over 60,000 on her YouTube channel alone.
